I couldn't resist it any longer, I got meself a Wii. I fell in love after 2 seconds and I'll tell you why. First things I did, was trying the weather and news channel. Try it, you will understand why I love it.
Using a globe (reminds me of google earth) on which you can see major cities, is the best way I have ever seen for weather casting. Grab the globe, give it a spin, zoom in or out and click on it to know more about the weather on a specific place. Same thing for the news channel, spin the globe and click the postiches to check out the news.
This kind of interface is what we need, on our all day used equipment. People don't seem to understand, the desktop interface has way to much information on it. Keep it simple, like the Wii, how cares where your file is saved, what name it has. It is saved and the Wii takes care of it.
Less is more
yep Mies van der Rohe, you are so right.

About storing the files....
The same is actually true on Mac OS.
You simply save your data, and if you ever need it again, there's nothing spotlight won't find for you.
The symantic desktop :-)
That is only partly true. There should be no need for finding.
People at our company only use 3 or 4 programs. Word, Excel, Thunderbird and KPD bouwoffice. (some use autocad). And still, they need to save files in directory's, or it will become a mess.
Bouwoffice is the only one, in which they don't know where the date is, they just save.
Groupware is evolving in that way, but all of them are still to complicated.
